Ceramic Microfiltration Membrane

RODI Systems is the exclusive North American supplier of the next generation of ceramic membrane from Cembrane. This product is designed to be used in a submerged configuration for MBR applications, filtration of industrial wastewater (particularly oily wastewater), drinking water treatment, and pretreatment to RO systems.

The submerged flat sheet design results in simple and economical installations while allowing for high solids loading and minimal pretreatment (3 mm screen). The membrane plates may be replaced individually which greatly reduces O&M cost. At the same time, the silicon carbide membrane provides some of the highest flux rates for any membrane material thus reducing the tank size and system footprint.

The chemical characteristics of the membrane include a low pH isoelectric point along with oleophobicity. These characteristics result in minimal fouling even in some of the most demanding applications. The membrane is chemically inert at pH extremes and can tolerate temperatures up to 80 deg C thus allowing for aggressive cleaning regimens if necessary.

RODI Systems can provide individual plates, complete racked assemblies, or an entire treatment system.
